ESI refers to Employee State Insurance. It is a health insurance scheme and self-financing public safety for Indian workers. If any employee earns Rs. 21000/- or below p/m as wages, then the emloyee contributes 1.75% and employer contributes 4.75 and total stake 6.5 percentage. According to ESI rules and regulation specified there in the employee state insurance Act 1948. If employees take the license under ESI, they will get a long range of benefits under the scheme. Such facilities are really very grateful for improving the health, assurance, performance, and retaining and progress of employees. Thus, a license under the ESI scheme is regarded as a statutory responsibility of every concerned employer entity engaged in any economic field.
Employee license is eligible when organization/firm/company employees restricted ten or more workers with separable salary and wages dropping under the brink limit of Rs. 21000 p/m. If anybody getting one-time registration under the ESI, then he/she contribute 1.75 per cent of his/her salary and company contribute 4.75 per cent in employee’s salary. After getting registration, ESIC provides appreciation to the employing entity and its worker through 17-digit identification code.
